About this product
Abido Black Peppercorns are whole, sun-dried black pepper berries - big flavour for the grinder, stock pots, pickles and braises. Whole peppercorns keep their heat and aroma for years, so grind only what you need. Abido Spices has been Lebanon's best-known spice house since 1950 - still family-run, grinding and blending at its own ISO 22000-certified factory in Naameh, just south of Beirut.
Use them to refill your pepper mill, drop a few into boiling chicken or lamb for stock, or crush coarsely for steak au poivre and shawarma marinades.
How to use it
- Pepper mill – Refill your grinder - 50g fills a standard household mill.
- Stocks & boiling meat – Add 6-8 peppercorns with bay leaf and cardamom when boiling chicken or lamb.
- Pickles & brines – A teaspoon per jar for cucumbers, turnips or olives.
- Coarse crack – Crush in a pestle for steak, kebabs and salad dressings.
