About this product
Abido Paprika is pure ground sweet red pepper - mild, fruity and vividly red, the paprika Lebanese cooks use for shish taouk marinades, batata harra, kafta, hummus garnish, rice, stews and roast chicken. No chilli heat, no colouring, no salt. Abido Spices has been Lebanon's best-known spice house since 1950 - still family-run, grinding and blending at its own ISO 22000-certified factory in Naameh, just south of Beirut.
Fine-milled for colour that spreads evenly through marinades, dips and sauces. 50g is around 20 teaspoons of paprika in a sealed foil sachet.
How to use it
- Marinades – 1 tbsp with garlic, lemon, yoghurt and oil for shish taouk or roast chicken.
- Potatoes & vegetables – Toss with oil, garlic and coriander for batata harra; dust over roast veg.
- Dips – Sprinkle over hummus, labneh and baba ghanoush with olive oil.
- Stews & rice – 1 tsp in goulash, tomato stews, pilaf or chicken and rice.

Neither - it is sweet (mild) paprika. For heat, add our Abido chilli.

Why does paprika fade?
Light and air dull the colour; keep the sachet sealed and out of sunlight.
