About this product
Abido Mixed Spices 500g is the catering-size bag of Abido's 7 Mixed Spices - the Lebanese seven-spice blend (sabaa baharat) of allspice, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and mahlab that seasons kafta, kibbeh, stews, rice and shawarma. Abido Spices has been Lebanon's best-known spice house since 1950 - still family-run, grinding and blending at its own ISO 22000-certified factory in Naameh, just south of Beirut.
Ten times the 50g sachet for restaurants, caterers, butchers and big Lebanese households. Decant into jars and keep the bag sealed: it is the same blend, same factory, same aroma.
How to use it
- Kafta & kibbeh – 1 tsp per 500g minced meat - 500g seasons roughly 100kg of mince.
- Stews & rice – 1/2-1 tsp per pot of yakhneh, hashweh or vermicelli rice.
- Shawarma & grills – Combine with black pepper, garlic, lemon and oil for lamb and chicken marinades.
- Butchers & caterers – Season kafta, sujuk and marinated meats in bulk.
