About this product
Abido Black Pepper Powder is pure black peppercorn, finely ground so it dissolves into marinades, kafta, soups, white sauces and rubs without grit. Pungent, fresh and ready to use - the everyday pepper of Lebanese kitchens. Abido Spices has been Lebanon's best-known spice house since 1950 - still family-run, grinding and blending at its own ISO 22000-certified factory in Naameh, just south of Beirut.
Because it is milled fine and sealed in foil, it keeps its bite far better than a grinder left on the table. One sachet is roughly 12 teaspoons.
How to use it
- Kafta & shawarma – Season 500g minced meat with 1/2 tsp pepper and 1 tsp 7 spices.
- Soups & sauces – Whisk a pinch into lentil soup, bechamel or tahini sauce - no grinding needed.
- Rubs – Combine with salt, garlic and paprika for a steak or chicken rub.
- Everyday – A fine pepper for the table, eggs, salads and fattoush dressing.
