Greenfields Tikka Masala is an aromatic, spicy blend for Indian dishes such as chicken tikka masala – coriander, paprika, turmeric, cumin, chilli, garlic, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, ginger, star anise, onion, fennel, bay leaves, nutmeg and cardamom. Greenfields is a London-based herbs and spices brand that has supplied quality ingredients since 1982.
Use it to marinate chicken, lamb, tofu or vegetables for tikka, to make a creamy tikka masala sauce, or as a barbecue rub.
How to use it
- Chicken tikka – Mix 2 tablespoons with yoghurt, lemon juice and garlic. Marinate chicken pieces for 2 hours, then grill or roast.
- Tikka masala sauce – Fry onion, garlic and ginger, add 1–2 tablespoons of the spice, then tomatoes and a splash of cream. Simmer with the cooked chicken tikka.
- BBQ rub – Rub over chicken wings, lamb chops or vegetables before grilling.
