Greenfields Lebanese Shawarma Spice 75g

Greenfields Lebanese Shawarma is a warm, aromatic Lebanese blend of allspice, black pepper, cinnamon, cumin, cloves, garlic, nutmeg, coriander, cardamom, ginger and a little chilli – everything you need to recreate takeaway-style shawarma at home. Greenfields is a London-based herbs and spices brand that has supplied quality ingredients since 1982.

Marinate chicken thighs, lamb or beef for shawarma wraps, or season vegetables, chickpeas and halloumi. Serve with garlic sauce, pickles and warm flatbread.

How to use it

• Chicken shawarma – Mix 2 tablespoons with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic and a spoonful of yoghurt. Marinate 500g chicken thighs for 2 hours (or overnight), then roast or grill and slice thinly.
• Wraps – Serve in flatbread with garlic sauce, pickles, tomato and lettuce.
• Vegetarian option – Toss cauliflower, chickpeas or halloumi with oil and the spice, then roast.
