A base spice for curries, dals, tagines and stews, and great in marinades, rubs, soups, pickles, sausages and baking.
How to use it
- Curries – Add 1–2 teaspoons with the other spices after frying the onions.
- Rubs & marinades – Mix with cumin, garlic and oil for lamb, chicken or vegetables.
- Soups – Stir a teaspoon into carrot and coriander or lentil soup.

No – ground coriander is made from the seeds and has a warm, citrusy flavour.
How much should I use?
Usually 1–2 teaspoons per curry or stew for four.
