Greenfields Dried Chives 40g

Greenfields Chives are dried chives with a mild, onion-like flavour and a fresh green colour. Greenfields is a London-based herbs and spices brand that has supplied quality ingredients since 1982.

Use them straight from the pack or rehydrate briefly in warm water. Stir into dips, soured cream, dressings, omelettes, mashed or jacket potatoes and soups, or scatter over as a garnish – best added at the end of cooking.

How to use it

• Dips & dressings – Stir 1–2 teaspoons into soured cream, cream cheese or yoghurt and leave for 10 minutes to soften.
• Eggs & potatoes – Sprinkle into omelettes, scrambled eggs, mash or jacket potatoes.
• Garnish – Scatter over soups and salads just before serving.

Do I need to rehydrate them?

It is optional – soak briefly in warm water for dips and dressings, or add straight to hot dishes.

At the end of cooking, to keep their colour and flavour.

What allergens does it contain?

None of the 14 major allergens are listed in the ingredients. Greenfields states that some of its blends are made in a facility that also handles sesame, mustard and celery. If you have a severe allergy, please check the pack label before use.

How should I store it?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal the pack (or decant into an airtight jar) after opening.
