Greenfields Citric Acid 100g

Greenfields Citric Acid is a natural flavour enhancer often known as “sour salt”. It adds a clean, tangy note, balances sweetness, sharpens flavours and helps keep food fresh. Greenfields is a London-based herbs and spices brand that has supplied quality ingredients since 1982.

Use a pinch in place of lemon or lime juice, to stop cut fruit from browning, in jams, preserves and homemade drinks and cordials, or mix it with sugar for homemade sherbet.

How to use it

• Lemon substitute – Start with a small pinch dissolved in a little water and add to taste – it is much stronger than lemon juice.
• Jams & preserves – Add a little to sweet or low-acid fruit to sharpen the flavour – follow your recipe.
• Drinks & sherbet – Dissolve with sugar for homemade lemonade-style drinks, or mix with sugar for sherbet.
