Greenfields Bay Leaves 25g

Greenfields Bay Leaves are whole dried leaves of the bay laurel – mild, earthy and slightly floral, with hints of eucalyptus and spice – used to flavour dishes all over the world. Greenfields is a London-based herbs and spices brand that has supplied quality ingredients since 1982.

Add a leaf or two to slow-cooked soups, stews, curries, braises, stocks and sauces, or to rice such as pilau and biryani, then remove before serving.

How to use it

• Soups & stews – Add 1–2 leaves at the start of cooking and remove before serving.
• Rice – Add a leaf to the pan when cooking basmati, pilau or biryani.
• Stocks & sauces – Include in a bouquet garni, or infuse in milk for béchamel.

No – bay leaves are used for flavour and should be removed before serving.

How many should I use?

One or two leaves will flavour a family-sized pot.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal the pack (or decant into an airtight jar) after opening.
