Sara Mixed Soup & Broth Mix is a classic five-way soup and broth mix – pearl barley, yellow split peas, marrowfat peas, red split lentils and green lentils – for hearty Scotch broth, winter soups and stews. Packed by Sara in a resealable stand-up pouch (500g and 1kg) or bulk bag (5kg and 25kg).
Scotch broth, ham hock or lamb broth, vegetable and barley soup, slow-cooker stews, minestrone-style soups and one-pot casseroles.

How to cook
- Soaking – Soak 8–12 hours (overnight), then drain and rinse
- Cooking – Simmer 60–90 minutes until the peas and barley are tender
- Quantity – About 100g of dry mix per litre of stock
- Tip – Add the mix at the start of a broth so the barley and peas have time to soften and thicken it.
