Brew it light for a fragrant cup, stronger and sweeter in the Middle Eastern way, or simmer it with milk and sugar for a creamy karak-style chai. A 500g pack makes around 200–250 cups.
How to enjoy it
- How to brew – Use 1 teaspoon (about 2–2.5g) per cup. Pour on freshly boiled water and brew for 3–5 minutes, then strain. Brew longer for a stronger cup.
- Karak / chai style – Simmer 2 teaspoons of tea per cup in water for 2–3 minutes, add milk (or evaporated milk) and sugar, bring back to a gentle boil and strain.
- Middle Eastern style – Brew strong in a teapot, sweeten to taste and serve in small glasses.
