How to serve Turkish tea
- Brew – Brew strong tea in the top pot of a çaydanlık (double teapot).
- Pour – Fill the glass a third to half full with the strong tea, then top up with hot water from the lower kettle – more water for light (açık), less for dark (koyu).
- Leave room – Leave a little space below the rim so the glass is comfortable to hold.
- Serve – Serve on saucers with sugar cubes and a small spoon – Turkish tea is traditionally taken without milk.
